What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will be lower than all the other standard painting companies in Seattle. I do almost all the work myself, so the guy you meet to discuss your project is the guy who will be there and that you can trust.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I come out and meet you to look at the job and learn about what is expected and time frame. I email you a detailed quote that covers everything. If you like it we agree to meet again to sign the contract and get started. We discuss timeline and I start with protecting and prepping the job and then move on to paint and clean up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started painting in Seattle in 1983 while in College at the UW. I have painted retail and commercial and now just do almost everything myself so you know it is very high quality.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I loved being outside and climbing and found a part time job Painting in Laurelhurst in College. I then started my own painting company the next year.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential and commercial, interior and exterior, all kinds of people. I can work around family schedules and access issues.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I painted a few interior jobs most recently and a larger commercial exterior, my favorite was a nice remodel in NE Seattle. I enjoy making the carpenters work shine with the right treatment and prep.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone you can trust to give you quality work, and that speaks your language to ensure you get the finish you want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Every project is different and has different challenges, the main issue with me is trust. I have a family in NE Seattle, graduated from the UW, and have lived in the NW my whole life. I find that people are very comfortable with me in and around their houses, which is my main priority besides delivering excellent finishes and craftsmanship. I guarantee all my jobs for 3 years, I want you 100% satisfied.
